* Please Don't Squeeze
Have you ever been on a roll with your pedagogical plan, only to be stopped in your tracks by a roadblock resulting from tension and/or pain in a student? This session will explore hands-on ways to use scale and arpeggio patterns within musical language to create a path from released tension to real-time application by sequentially integrating principles of a tension-free setup; right arm and left hand mechanics, timing and rhythm.

This recent quote...
"I brought my 8th Grade Orchestra to Belmont several times and we did workshops with Elisabeth Small. She is one of the best clinicians that has ever worked with my kids! She is firm and loving at the same time. Her passion and expertise come across clearly, and she always brings out the very best in my students."
